Where it all begins

More than 30 years ago, young married couple Rick and Cheryl Barsness started in the pizza business in Victoria, Texas, living out of the back of a store as it was being built. Their family and the business grew and in 2002 Springfield's Incredible Pizza Company opened it's doors with overwhelming success. The Barsness Family as well as other founding families concentrated time and effort into making America's Incredible Pizza Company the best in family entertainment. Two things kept these families going through the adventure of the restaurant business: (1) The desire to open a business where families could come and spend fun quality time together and (2) The dream of starting a foundation to support missions all over the world.

The dream of beginning a Foundation became a reality in 2007. With the growth and success of the business, the founding families turned their effort to focus on giving back to the community both locally and globally. In the fall of 2007, the Incredible Pizza Company hired Hesed Consulting's Amber Mattingly to be the lead consultant to the business and founding families about the foundation's giving plan. The Foundation's goal is to give away $100,000 the first year starting in February 2008. Each year thereafter, the foundation will increase the amount to be given away. February 1, 2008 kicked off the first season of awarding gifts to the first applicants to the foundation...Now that's Incredible!!!

IPC Foundation Mission Statement

• We support both local and global missionaries, children's homes, and children in at-risk situations.
• The vision of the foundation is for each store to be a beacon of loving-kindness in their community through the business and the foundation.
• We desire that our business partners, managers, and employees be involved in the process of giving through our foundation.
